Under the charm of Urihi.
Although she went into the world of advertising and marketing, Melany Pérez, aka Najimel, always had an inescapable weakness for design: "I learned by myself, so to speak, 'giving myself bumps.'" One of her first influences was her mother, who also, with a certain knowledge of painting, encouraged her to develop her essence. More than a decade ago, "Najimel" was born. Today, it is an integrated alter ego that overflows with pop, femininity, and a contrasting flavor. A turning point within the modern superheroine imaginary, an Amazon that combines makeup techniques with tribal rituals.
Now, she defines herself as a nostalgic draftsman, which can be seen in the series "Changing the View," where she showed us, using a mixed technique, how to "normalize the everydayness of four walls" during a health crisis. Again, female characters give us that kind of comfort and explosion reflected in her line "Urihi": "There, my contrary but complementary energies converge. My darkness and my light, my femininity, and my masculinity, my fire, and my calm".
