Borneo

Borneo Modofoker is the name that envelops Maikol de Sousa, a multidisciplinary artist of Venezuelan origin who has been based in Spain for years. From graphics through illustration and even taking on the always challenging territory of ceramics, Borneo captures urban sensibility through color and texture. From his unique pieces and characters (with a distinctive pair of arrows on the face) to a universe of color that takes over the security shutters of a dental clinic in Barcelona, Spain, the artist stands for his colorful imagination.

In October 2023, he presented the exhibition "Layers," where he gave us a close look at his creative process. This exhibition served as a moving reminder that each work begins with a stroke and an intimate idea from the artist's mind. Through his Instagram, he carefully records each new character (his "Dirty Boys"); every format is possible with him.
